Career Summary/Work Experience

Key Chain Productions – Website Redesign/Website Management – January 2008 – Present
I have just began working on redesigning a website for Key Chain Productions. This is a high profile film makers website which needs a redesign and to be made more accessible and standards compliant. Once the website is redesigned I will be managing and updating the website as well as administrating an online community.

Wakefield College – Work Experience – Website Design – 2007
This was a similar task to my previous website design at Wakefield College. This time it was for Crigglestone Nursery School. Again my roles were similar to my previous experience though this time my role also included the sole development of the site. This project forced me to learn new skills such as PHP and improve on existing skills such as CSS.

Wakefield College – Work Experience – Website Design – 2006
Whilst studying at Wakefield College for my AVCE ICT, one unit required us to design and develop a website for a client. In our case, an independent record label (Make Mine Music). Although the designing of the site was a group task, I had some specific roles for myself. These included: Keeping in contact with the client, letting them know how the project was going, arranging meetings with the client to discuss designs and progress, and typing up the minutes and agendas of each meeting.

Netto Stores – Shop Floor Assistant – October 2005 – June 2006
I worked part time in the local Netto supermarket as a shop floor assistant. My main duties were to bring in deliveries, replenish shelves, and helping customers. I was also responsible for “facing up” and cleaning the store on a night before leaving, as well as participating in regular stock takes.

Picture House – Shop Assistant – 2004
Working in a local video rental store serving customers; using computer to log rentals and returns; ensuring DVD/video cases in correct places on stands; marking rentals with hire stickers; checking rentals labelled correctly and re-labelling as appropriate; making drinks for staff; cleaning duties and running errands as required.

Lusotufo UK – 2 weeks work experience – July 2003
Various office duties including:
• Preparing and dispatching customer statements and invoices
• Accessing information from the computer
• Running reports using own search criteria on Sage software (Accounting Package)
